activities within the Central Gippsland Region.
Tennis Victoria provides funding for the Tennis
Regional Development Officer program to address specific issues
and undertakes initiatives within the Central Gippsland region.

Frank Sedgman Cup Teams
28 July 2008 – Congratulations to the following players who will representing Central Gippsland in the Frank Sedgman Cup event at Bendigo on 2-3 August.

Juniors get national rankings
4 July 2008 – Do you play in tennis tournaments? Did you know that you may have an Australian ranking?
Our Juniors page now provides you with a link to the Tennis Australia open rankings, which includes junior players. The rankings give all players a check of how they are going against Australia's best.
Congratulations to Central Gippsland Team
12 June 2008 – Congratulations to the Central Gippsland Tennis Teams who finished in the top four at the 2008 Association/Regional Teams Challenge held at Bendigo on 7-9 June 2008. Central Gippsland were due to play off for third or fourth spot when rain stopped play.
Central Gippsland were represented by Joseph Colaciello, Nic Tile, Amelia Charlton, Shayla Marsh, James Sheppard, Sam Stoddart, Sophie Grumley, Megan Garlick, Ben Anderson, Tristan Salerno, Vicky Stuckey and Natasha Tile.
Association-Regional Teams Challenge
6 June 2008 - The Challenge is for junior players years 12, 14 and 16, and will conducted tomorrow through to Monday. Team lists and tournament information are available for download (large PDF file 721 kB). This year the event is held at Bendigo.
Pizzey Cup & Australia Cup honours to Vicky
21 May 2008 - A
young Victorian team has won the 2008 Jack Pizzey Cup National Final in sensational style, defeating team NSW on the final day of competition. The tournament was held in Perth in early May.
Rising star Vicky Stuckey from Flynn was named as one of the "Top Ten" players of the tournament. Vicky also won the
individual event, known as the Australia Cup, which is an Australian Junior Ranking Singles Tournament - Level 6.
Future Leaders Program 2008
21 May 2008 - The Tennis Victoria Future Leaders Program is designed for people (particularly senior secondary students) aspiring to become involved in the tennis or sporting industries. Due to the success of the camp last year two will be held in 2008.
Up to 30 students (aged 15-18) per camp will undergo leadership activities, an Orientation to Coaching course, and various sports administration activities, with the aim of providing some insight on a career in sports administration and volunteering in tennis
